I'm sorry this place isn't exactly busy yet. For some reason I haven't been able to get a lot of traffic to Flapping Terror lately, let alone the forums.

The emoticons are being worked on. *blush* I have to delete a whole bunch of them, actually. Too many of the same ones, or ones that mean the exact same thing, or just don't look good together. But there are literally HUNDREDS of them, so it's going to take a while; I have to delete each emoticon one-by-one.

nega-mexican fan: You cannot see your signature? Is it an image file? Because if so, if you tried to use HTML to make it show up, it won't work; HTML has been shut off for the signatures option. You can ask Tlaloc how to use BBCode to make the image show up.

If your signature is only text, please tell me what you are trying to write and maybe I can help you.

By the way, would you mind if I edited the title of this thread slightly? I would like to sticky the thread and make this the place to introduce one's self.

So umm... hi and stuff. This place doesn't seem to have many members active, and that makes me sad. I feel our fandom has all but died. ;_;

I used to have a DWD site, thats actually still linked in Flapping Terrors links page. I ran My Little Slice of Heaven, over on geocities, once upon a time. I never did get around to remaking the site. I also run a very empty Quackerjack fanlisting.

Now a little about me! My name is actually Jade, Liza is the name of one of my DWD fan characters that I'm quite fond of. I am 25 years old, going to be 26 in July. I've been a DWD fan since the show first aired. I am friendly but shy. People make me nervous. Sometimes I talk too much, some times I don't talk at all. I'm... weird most of the time.

I write, or try to write, DWD fanfiction when I get the chance. None of its very good, and most of it never gets finished. I come up with so many story ideas, but I can't seem to finish them. Fan characters are my specialty. I have two of them at the moment, Amy and Liza. They're prolly Mary Sues, but whatever. I think most original characters will get slapped with the Mary Sue/Gary Stu label at some point. I love the Fearsome Five. My favorite character is Quackerjack. Aaaaaaaaaaaand... I like stuff. Yes, stuff. I roleplay on occasion. Mostly sci-fi/fantasy type rps.

Yeah... yeah, I think thats it. Its late and I need to go to bed, otherwise I'll just keep rambling. This is one of those times when I talk to much. XD

Guh, I know. We have about 40 or so members now on the forum, and very few actually post anything.

Ah, a friend of mine just turned 26 last week. I'm going to turn 22 in July.

I totally agree. I don't think anybody knows what a real Mary Sue is anymore.

I barely RP myself anymore, but I find sci-fi and fantasy very interesting at times... when I'm not obsessing over cartoons and such.

Hello all! Wow, it's wonderful to encounter DW fans when as it's been said... it's been kind of dying out lately. Let's see... some of you may know me from other forums where I went by either Amanda or Charisma (Charisma only because someone else was already using Amanda and I thought that was confusing, but I really don't use that alias anymore). But you guys can call me Amanda, or my alias of ::thinks:: roughly five years or so, Kagome Yuy.

Darkwing Duck has been my favorite hero since I was a little girl. I'm 21 (just turned, actually) so you can do the math. I've always loved him to death and I had tons of his things growing up... the bank is in my room now, and also a water toy I think I got from Burger King way back in the day. My only regret is that I'm fairly sure that I gave my Darkwing Duck stuffed animal away to charity, and I would love nothing more than to have him back, although the idea of him touching some other little kid's life the way he touched me is what keeps me content.

As a kid I loved Darkwing and... ::laughs:: had nightmares of Negaduck trying to kill me. So I actually had to stop watching for awhile because of it. Weird, I know. But I rediscovered Darkwing when I fished out an old tape (Just Us Justice Ducks... which was always my favorite and after all those years I still remembered every word) when I was 14 and watched it and fell in love with him again. And then I started to write fan fics (never publicly posted except for my closest friends who have become characters) soon after and it went from there. And with college and a writing hiatus of a few years, I've recently raised the pen again (or... my fingers to the keyboard... whatever floats your boat) for another fic.

And ironically... even with the nightmares, at some point and I'm not sure when but it must've happened when I was a little girl, Negaduck went from being my most hated villain to my absolute favorite and is today my favorite villain of all time. And I'm pretty sure I've never written a DW fanfic that didn't have Negaduck in it... and I've written like 30. And there were plenty of times where he wasn't the main villain but just kind of there to poke around and annoy everyone.

So my character... is me. Well... the "idealized" version of me. Her name is Amanda (as if you couldn't guess) and she works at SHUSH where she's one of the top special agents. Apparently with a love for danger, the background story was that she had in the past done a lot of undercover work which included even a brief stay at FOWL. She meets Negaduck while working undercover to try to capture him, under the guise that she and him can work together to get rid of... you guessed it... Darkwing Duck. But at the last moment, when she's supposed to deliver him to SHUSH, she suddenly is unable to and tells him the plot and allows him to escape. Which would bring us to where my series begins, where we learn that Amanda and Negaduck had somehow gradually fallen in love and were now dating. I always meant to go back and write this prologue of a story but I figured it would be incredibly hard to portray Negaduck falling in love with... anyone.

Anyhow, eventually Amanda comes to her senses (depending on your opinion) and breaks it off with Negs, who flips out and vows to regain her, and that's essentially his role in all of this. And it's not made any better by the obvious growing relationship between Amanda and Darkwing Duck.

And so that's my series in a nutshell... added comic relief is the introduction of more characters, which just happen to be my best friends, who decide to take up crimefighting, much to Darkwing's dismay, for he really finds them pesky and annoying, although the feeling is rather mutual.

As for other writings and fandoms... I've written Gundam Wing and Fushigi Yuugi fan fics as well, although not nearly to the extent of my writings for DW. My writing goal for one day though would be to write a novel, most likely drama and/or mystery.

Anyway, I just thought I would introduce myself and give you a little overview. I look forward to chatting with you all! If there's anything I missed, or anything you'd like to know, just feel free to ask away!
